Position Overview :
We are seeking a dedicated Software Engineer volunteer to join our green initiatives team. As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to develop software solutions that support our environmental projects, ranging from carbon footprint calculators to platforms that encourage sustainable practices. This is a unique chance to use your technical skills for a meaningful cause.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the project team to understand requirements and objectives.
- Develop, test, and deploy software applications and tools focused on environmental sustainability.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software solutions.
- Document development processes, code, and software functionalities.

Requirements
- Proven experience as a Software Engineer or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, html , css.
- Experience with web development frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask, React, Node.js).
- Familiarity with database management (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Passion for environmental conservation and sustainability.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting.
- Strong communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
- Knowledge of environmental data analysis and visualization.
- Prior involvement in green technology projects or initiatives.
- Understanding of agile development methodologies.
